Sales Manager – Oilfield Services

WellSense Energy – Calgary, AB

 

WellSense energy is a newly formed oilfield services company with service lines in Coiled Tubing, Cased Hole Wireline Services and Distributed Optical Sensing (both temperature and acoustic). The main office is in Calgary, with operations base in Medicine Hat, with potential future expansion into Saskatchewan.

The Job:
WellSense desires to hire a Sales Manager, based in Calgary to help sell services to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop business strategies to profitably achieve the highest equipment utilization in the current market conditions.
  • Register WellSense Energy as an approved service supplier at all large operators in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective customers by negotiating contracts and alliances
  • Sell Products and services to all operators, with focus on optical sensing services pulling through conventional Coiled Tubing and Cased Hole Wireline Services.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Entrepreneurial Spirit with ability to think and work outside the conventional box.
  • Extensive Oilfield Services experience (mainly Coiled Tubing and Cased Hole Wireline) in Western Canada
  • Knowledge of Optical Distributed sensing is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to relate to external and internal customers.
  • Superior verbal and written skills
  • Self-motivated, with ability to work and multitask successfully and independently under pressure and a desire to develop and learn.
  • Able to communicate across the organization with field staff as well as Directors.
  • Able to manage and develop future sales personnel into a strong coherent team.

Fiber Optics Team Lead

WellSense Energy – Calgary, AB

 

WellSense is an oilfield service company that integrates Fiber Optics technology into its well services namely: E-line, and E-coil. The major application is well performance and well integrity diagnostics using Distributed Temperature as well as Distributed Acoustic data acquisition
We are looking for Fiber Optics Team Lead with at least 3-years’ experience related to using fiber optics technology in oilfield service applications. This would cover both wellsite operations as well as fiber optics handling.
Job description:

  • Should be prepared to spend time in the base in Medicine Hat.
  • Should be prepared to attend wellsite jobs as required.
  • Will be responsible for all Fiber Optic related assets and equipment.
  • Implement and manage maintenance system for such assets using specialist fit for purpose equipment.
  • Assist E-line and Coil Tubing supervisor into deployment of Equipment into wells.
  • Train future team in WellSense Fiber Optic operations.

Candidates should be prepared to be developed in the following areas (if they do not have prior experience) which are required for WellSense Operations:

  • Acquire and perform quality control of fiber optic data using WellSense equipment
  • Perform real time- preliminary interpretations for clients at field.
  • Technical Sales for WellSense Fiber Optic based services.

Nitrogen Supervisors/Operators

Reporting to the Nitrogen Supervisor/Manager, the Nitrogen Operator is responsible effectively and efficiently operate nitrogen or fluid pumping equipment and assist the operational team to drive the growth of technical productivity while promoting high quality customer satisfaction, ensuring the integration of company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and promote company HSE and other policies.
  • Ensures a pre-job checklist specific to the equipment is completed prior to leaving the shop as per the following job specification requirements.
  • Efficiently and competently drive safely and obeys all traffic laws and regulations
  • Ensure that all documentation is updated and in order and handed in on timely fashion.
  • Participate in the discussion for the proposed operation with other Crewmembers, Supervisors & Management
  • Act as a representative for WellSense Energy Ltd. to customer onsite representatives in a courteous / professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Previous Oil & Gas / Oilfield Services experience
  • Class 1 Driver’s License, will consider Class 3
  • H2S Alive
  • First Aid & CPR Level C
  • ODA/GODI, an asset not required.

Fibre Optics Wellsite Technician

WellSense is an oilfield service company that integrates Fiber Optics technology into its well services namely: E-line, and E-coil. The major application is well performance and well integrity diagnostics using Distributed Temperature as well as Distributed Acoustic data acquisition
We are looking for Fiber Optics Wellsite Technician with at least 5-years’ experience related to using fiber optics technology in oilfield service applications. This would cover both wellsite operations as well as fiber optics handling.
Job description:

  • Should be prepared to relocate to Medicine Hat.
  • Will report to Fiber Optic Team Lead
  • Will be responsible for all Wellsite Fiber Optic assets and equipment assigned.
  • Will be responsible for maintenance for such assets using specialist fit for purpose equipment (ODTR, Fusion Splicing Machine, Fiber Optic Closures, Fiber Optic Distribution Frame, Laser Source etc).
  • Assist E-line and Coil Tubing supervisor into deployment of Equipment into wells.

Candidates should be prepared to be developed in the following areas (if they do not have prior experience) which are required for WellSense Operations:

Coil Tubing Supervisors

The Coiled Tubing Supervisor will be a member of the Coiled Tubing Field Operations department responsible for supporting field operations and the Operations Manager. Reporting to the Coil Tubing Operations Manager, the Coiled Tubing Supervisor will focus on mentoring field operators and ensuring WellSense Energy Ltd. policies and procedures are being communicated and executed in day-to-day operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with the customer to provide troubleshooting techniques, job solutions and to confirm all program requirements are monitored
  • Responsible for providing supervisors and crews of the Coiled Tubing Department with proper support, leadership, and guidance while maintaining a high degree of service quality
  • Act as a representative for WellSense Energy Ltd. to customer onsite representatives in a courteous / professional manner.

  • Ensures a pre-job checklist specific to the equipment is completed prior to leaving the shop as per the following job specification requirements.

Coil Tubing Operators

The Coiled Tubing Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment on site always. Coil Tubing operators are responsible for reporting to the Coil Tubing Supervisor daily and/or the Coil Tubing Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate various large duty trucks over outdoor terrain and through all weather conditions
  • Participates in the investigation of incidents when required
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and accurately fill out all required forms
  • Attends pre-job safety meetings on location
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication with colleagues
  • Inspects and properly configures all equipment
  • Perform rig-up (assembly) and rig out (disassembly) of all equipment for travel
  • Perform maintenance operations to units and auxiliary equipment
  • Confers with supervisor and crew regarding any operational deficiencies
